Today marks 8 months since Kylee has joined our family and I am still in wonderment at how far we have all come. I still remember the first few weeks thinking how will I ever communicate with my daughter that doesn't speak our language or understand our culture. Then the days start blending into weeks and those weeks become months and the next thing we know it is almost a year later and it is like she has been with us since birth. She is such a sweet child, we love her so much!
Mia is doing great in school, she is Student of the Month and her picture is proudly displayed in the school cafeteria. Mia loves school and loves learning new things everyday -- her teacher is delighted with her. She is also enjoying soccer and scored the first goal for her team this past game - Yeah, Mia!!!!!

We are beginning to see evidence that fall is here, the leaves are starting to turn different shades of red, gold and orange.
The girls wore sweaters for the first time yesterday since it was only in the 50s - burrrrrrrrrrrr
But by the afternoon we had the perfect 70s weather and headed to the park to see Sadie (Mia's classmate from last year).

Uncle Wayne

The girls are wonderful and we are so happy to have them in our lives and so grateful they are in yours! Happy birthday Mia, Wayne and Christy!

P.S. Please let me tell you all that my dear husband in no way resembles Uncle Sam or this picture in person. This is a picture taken at his Citizen Wayne party when he became an American citizen. He's loaded up with US gear. :)
I was delighted to find out that this was the girls' favorite picture of Uncle Wayne. Mia loves that he dresses up. That makes it all worth it!
